Flower Care
At Bloomberry & Co., we take pride in providing fresh, premium-quality blooms. Flowers are a natural product, and proper care is essential to maximize their beauty and lifespan—especially with Toronto’s changing climate.
By purchasing from us, you acknowledge and agree to the following care guidelines and expectations.
Fresh Flower Care Instructions
To ensure your flowers last as long as possible:
Trim stems at a 45° angle before placing in water
Use a clean vase filled with fresh, room-temperature water
Remove foliage below the waterline to prevent bacteria growth
Add the provided flower food (if included)
Change water every 1–2 days and re-trim stems
Keep flowers in a cool area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and drafts
Seasonality & Climate Considerations
Operating within Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, our designs are subject to Canada’s distinct seasonal climate.
Winter
Florals are highly sensitive to cold exposure. Even brief contact with freezing temperatures may result in irreversible damage, including petal bruising and wilting.
Arrangements must be brought indoors immediately and should never be left in vehicles or outdoor environments.
Summer
Elevated temperatures and humidity levels may accelerate the natural aging process of florals.
We recommend placing arrangements in climate-controlled interiors and replenishing water more frequently during warmer periods.
Allergies & Floral Safety
Certain florals may be allergenic or toxic to pets if ingested. Clients assume responsibility for ensuring arrangements are placed in a safe and appropriate setting.
A Note on Fresh Florals
Fresh flowers are an ephemeral luxury—designed to be experienced in the moment. While proper care will extend their lifespan, longevity cannot be guaranteed.
Their attention to detail and commitment to quality truly stood out. We’ve already recommended them to others.
